The Grand National, the biggest horse raving event of the year, held annually in Aintree, Liverpool. Myself and my friends took ourselves down to Ladies Day this year, dressed in our finest and drinking wine from about 11am…
Unfortunately it was so cold, there was such an icy wind however every glimpse of sunshine we got our sunglasses out! Unfortunately as we were in the Tatterstalls, rather than a stand, it was hard to get a view of the horses from down on the grass, got a couple of the screens though, however not a great shot!
We spent the afternoon drinking rose, betting and embracing the cold. Not a successful day in terms of winnings, but still so much fun, I’d definitely recommend. After a day in the chilly wind, we took ourselves back into central Liverpool for dinner at Zizzi’s Italian, great food and more wine to finish off the day!
Jenna and I, Kirsty and Louise in maxi dresses.
The girls in B&W, Pretty in Pink!
Even though it was ladies day, there were men everywhere!
More fizz and food to end a fabulous day!
