Alice in Partyland – Charity Event

Today, the Photography Society was asked to set up a photo booth at a Alice in Wonderland themed Charity Event to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust. With a couple of friends and a selection of kit borrowed from the new society president Nick, I set up a photo-booth with two flashes, soft-boxes, stands and triggers. We also had a white background set up too, however the wind wasn’t too keen on keeping this still.

Here’s one of the shots I got. I was asked to bring the fancy dress stuff that we had used at the Campus Fest photo-booth too, so that added a bit of silliness to the photos!
The group who had organised the event had done a great job with the food, decorations and the location, which was down by Lake Carter on our University campus. This meant there was fab opportunities for photographs of ducks and food, two of my favourite things to take pictures of!

I was really pleased with how the windmill shots turned out, I wanted to capture the movement and I think these shots show it well.
