Meat and Shake, Tooting

Having recently moved further South, myself and the two Lauren’s were keen to sample some of the culinary delights of Tooting. Luckily, just around the corner is Meat and Shake, which as hints in the name serve burgers and milkshakes.

Having looked at the website, I was surprised to see the restaurant is a one off, but has similarities to chains such as Bodean’s which has a few locations around London. You can’t book, however as we went at about 5.30pm on a Sunday it was pretty empty.

The girls ordered a Smoking Bandit which consisted of Smokey Chipotle Mayo, Tomato, Lettuce Smokey Cheddar, Sautéed Onions, Smokey Turkey Bacon and I opted for a really tasty Pulled Beef Rib burger in a brioche bun; complemented very well with some rosemary and sweet potato fries.

A pretty chilled atmosphere, but had the potential to be more lively if it was a busier evening. We were way to full to try the milkshakes, and at around a fiver they weren’t something to leave. They looked great on other tables in large silver canisters.

Check out the website to read more about the really good burgers here.
