Not done a post like this before, but I thought I’d share a few of my favourite things from July, primarily based around my Instagram images as they sum up day to day life pretty well!
/ LOVED running this month, and using the Nike app to add in my route onto a photo and sharing on Instagram! I’ve also been a bit obsessed with logging my 10,000 steps a day into my Jawbone UP app too, so running obviously helps me reach my daily goal. I also have my wristband set to vibrate if I’ve been sat still for an hour which helps give me a nudge at work to get up and have a leg stretch!
/ Wimbledon; such fantastic weather, Pimms and an amazing experience having done a campaign at work on the relationship between Wimbledon and IBM, check out this post to learn more!
/ Jamie Oliver recipes; a spontaneous dinner party saw myself and 4 friends cooking up a storm in the kitchen; meatballs from scratch, charred chillies and rice. I found version of the recipe online here, thanks to Foodienarium for this.
/ New books; I got a voucher for amazon the other day and naturally stocked up on some new books. One of which was the Hemsley Hemsley recipe book. I’m yet to cook anything, but watch this space for some more foodie photos and my attempts at their recipes…
/ Rooftop bars; for a recent leaving lunch at work, we headed up to the snazzy RadioBar just near the Strand for some tapas lunch nibbles, a glass of prosecco and a lovely view. A fantastic location, but pretty pricey, and if you go during the evening for a nighttime view be sure to book!
/ The Toon; had a fantastic time visiting my friend Kirsty up in Newcastle during the last weekend of the month. For lunch at Olive & Bean we had the most incredible red pepper and sweet chilli hummus, with salads, open sandwiches and a panini too. Later that evening we headed to the Botanist, Lola Jeans and Perdu for some cocktails and dancing. The Botantist has incredible views over the city, an indoor treehouse and incredible glass roof, which thanks to my friend Lauren is captured in the photo below. It’s not one to miss if you’re visiting the city.
