I had to write this little update because last week was crazy crazy and I just had to get it all down for myself as a starter never mind for you guys reading on here!
Saturday last weekend was Wolf Run – myself and six Wimbledon colleagues ran 10km through woods, lakes and mud all in the aid of fun. I was pretty nervous beforehand but it was hilarious, especially the moment when I got both feet stuck in mud, lost my shoe and then had to be dragged out by Emma and Liam! I was very dubious, however it was so good I’ve signed up for another in the spring hahah.
On the Sunday, I joined Gemma for the Spurs match up at Wembley! Haven’t been to a football match for years, and never a premier league one. Such a fun afternoon – thanks G (p.s beers in spoons in Wembley are like £3, unbelievable London scenes)!
On Monday, as I sorted through my jam packed inbox I found an email telling me about my CSC (Corporate Service Corps – remember I mentioned in my Oct faves post?), location and start date! I’m headed to China in March – no further project details yet but I cannot wait!! It’s going to come round so soon and I’m really really looking forward – it’ll definitely be a huge culture shock / change to get used to!
Tuesday was the Drum Content awards – this is a well known marketing publication. We had three nominations for our Wimbledon campaign #whatmakesgreat, from the summer. Around 12 of the team got our gladrags on to anticipate potential awards – sadly we didn’t win anything but we had a great night (those who saw my insta story will know this hahah).
On Wednesday I got totally distracted during a meeting (I mean I was struggling anyway), but the producer of Brexitcast (following my review in this post) got in contact and asked me to be on it. Literally couldn’t believe it, how random, I’m the least politics-y person EVER!
During Thursday afternoon I was dialled into a BBC FaceTime audio call and the chatted to the Brexitcast presenters Chris and Adam – Chris even read my review out for the opening of the cast. It came out on Thursday evening, and I’m in the first 3 mins or so if you fancy a listen 😃#madeit hahah!
On Friday I flew to Copenhagen for 48 hours of exploring; I’ll share a full post of what I did very soon!
Had to share my adventures with you all. It’s been a hectic (I was obviously working in between allllll that stuff haha), but exciting week! Really looking forward to a smiler week ahead as I’m flying to Munich for an IBM Millennial Corps project I applied for – were going to work on a client project for a few days then I’ve got Saturday to explore. Never been to Munich before so it should be fun – apparently there a river with a surf spot so I need to find it and share videos with my fellow surfers haha!
Hope you all had a great week too? Any exciting news to share?
